Selena Gomez embarks on a horror film for her next project.
The 28-year-old singer has joined STXfilm’s Dollhouse mental mystery as a manufacturer and is a leading role, PEOPLE confirms.
STX showed the news on his Facebook page, shared Deadline’s report and wrote: “Latest news. Selena Gomez has embarked on the mental mystery of STXfilms Dollhouse as a producer!”
Gomez will produce the film July Moon Productions with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps, Deadline reported. Michael Paisley’s script is positioned in the new York fashion world.
A director has still been confirmed.
According to the point of sale, the film is for Black Swan, the 2010 mental mystery that earned Natalie Portman the Oscar for Best Actress.
