SOME OTHER WOMAN Interview: Amanda Crew Reflects On Her Intense New Psychological Horror Movie (Exclusive)

Directed by Joel David Moore (Avatar) and starring Amanda Crew (Final Destination 3), Tom Felton (Harry Potter) and Ashley Greene (Twilight), Some Other Woman is a mental mystery that follows a woman who begins to wonder if she is losing weight. the head. or her husband’s loyalty when a woman slowly intrudes into their lives.

A must see for any horror fan, the film takes us to unforeseen places and, a while before the holidays, we had the chance to speak with Amanda about her role as Eve.

Given the twisted nature of Some Other Woman, we began the interview by asking the actress about her reaction to the script when she first sat down to read it:

“When they sent me the script, I didn’t expect to attach it so much. The funny thing is that we shot this in 2021. It was a procedure to get it out, so I feel like it was a long time ago. like who I was at that moment. In that moment, I resonated with Eve’s adventure of living a life whose dream has been sold to you, and then asking yourself – having something to interrupt all of that – the validity of what you’ve been sold and seeking to locate discover what is true. It’s such a confusing procedure that I personally experienced at the time.

“I had just come out of a delight like that when they sent me the script. I actually resonated with their adventure and it was very coherent and cathartic to be able to put that into my performance and the delight that I had just come out of. . . that this functionality was actually cathartic and that’s probably why this film will remain in my top 3 most sensible delights I’ve had in my career so far, because it was actually one of the rare delights in which life imitates art and art. It really moved me. “

As noted above, Felton is among Amanda’s co-stars and plays her character’s husband. Although the Flash star is best known for betting on Draco Malfoy, that wasn’t true for Amanda because she never saw the Harry Potter movies!

However, it was incredible when it came to understanding their dynamics on set:

“[Laughs] When I met him, I thought, ‘I have to be honest, I’ve never looked at a Harry Potter movie. ‘I know it’s a sin to say it out loud and his enthusiasts will come for me, but maybe it was better this way because I felt like I could meet him and I was so impressed by his skill that I enjoyed racing with him. He’s an amazing scene spouse and I feel like he literally brought out the most productive in me. “

“He was so encouraging and supportive and a real teammate. I think sometimes when actors have come off a huge franchise like that, it’s a very specific acting experience being on those and so sometimes an actor has a harder time adapting to smaller projects and the idea of getting in the trenches. It couldn’t be further from the truth for Tom. He truly, truly loves acting and is so passionate about it. It was really refreshing.”
