In a parallel universe, fans of Sony’s Spider-Verse animated films have already experienced the thrilling conclusion of the trilogy. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was originally scheduled to premiere two weeks ago, however, the film has been delayed indefinitely until it makes sure it’s finished with the same care that the first two films received. We still don’t know when Beyond the Spider-Verse will arrive, however, a composer claiming to be a component of the film is now bothering us with what turns out. like a not-too-distant launch window.
Singer-songwriter d4vd recently posted a video on TikTok responding to a fan who needs to know more about the artist when he’s in a “good mood. “Apparently he claims that he had directed a “lighthearted” song that will be part of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, d4vd just said. . .
until the year Spider-Man will be released
Forgetting that d4vd committed the punishable crime of not adding the script in Spider-Man, the guy tells us that we will see the definitive bankruptcy of the animated trilogy in 2025. Which, on the one hand, seems eternal, but we have already waited a year, and waiting for a few more years is much longer than it has just been.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was considered by many to be a film that surpassed the previous Spider-Verse film and was arguably the most productive Spider-Man film of all time. That’s a pretty tough claim, especially when you consider the ending of Across the Spider-Verse left enthusiasts on an epic cliffhanger, so in many ways, it wasn’t even a complete story.
The original plan was to release the second and third Spider-Verse films in quick succession, less than a year apart. It’s an ambitious timeline, to say the least, but it turned out to be too ambitious. It became transparent shortly after the release of Across the Spider-Verse that Beyond simply won’t be in a position to meet its 2024 release date. Instead of seeing the date go back and forth, Beyond the Spider-Verse has gotten rid of the calendar, and at the moment there is no official release date for Beyond the Spider-Verse.
While there may not be a public release date, a date will most likely be used internally, if only to plan well for all the work that will need to be done. So the other people who write the music for the film, like D4VD, happen to know what the release plan is, because it affects when they want to make their own paintings.
Although enthusiasts were really disappointed with the delay, most would wait longer to get a smart movie than to get one that wasn’t perfect sooner. Of course, “next year” still covers a lot of ground, but there’s a good chance that if Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is already planning a 2025 release date, it will be earlier in the year after. If it points to the same launch weekend planned for this year, which is a strong possibility, it would mean we’re already less than a year away from seeing it on the big screen.
