The value of zinc has been gained thanks to strong demand for Chinese steel, Reuters reported.

Norsk Hydro suspended operations of its bauxite pipeline, which connects its Paragominas with its Alunorte alumina refinery.

As a result, Hydro will adopt “extended maintenance” and temporarily avoid production at the Paragominas bauxite mine. In addition, it will occur in Alunorte.
