Stephen King’s Forgotten Home Thriller Is Finally Available for Free Streaming

There have been countless adaptations of Stephen King’s literary output over the course of more than forty-five years. Some performances are appreciated by enthusiasts and critics alike. Others seem more. . . Divided. One of the most polarizing adaptations of the director’s work is now available for free streaming. We know where to look for it if you’re curious about what it’s all about.

The film in question, A Good Marriage, was directed by Peter Askin, while King wrote the cinematic remedy for his short story. Despite very productive plans being made, the film did not pique the interest of critics or enthusiasts when it was released. The film has an appalling 32% “new” score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and only gets a 20% approval score from moviegoers on the global review site.

That said, when Dread Central’s Staci Layne Wilson reviewed the film in 2014, she was quick to give her approval. But even its positive review is rarely what might be called a glowing recommendation. Wilson said, “The movie is worth seeing, but only one. Either way, King enthusiasts will flock to it. Wilson gave the film an overall score of 3/5.

Lately, A Good Marriage is available to stream via Tubi, Pluto, Plex, and several other AVOD platforms, so you can decide where to watch Stephen King’s adaptation for free.

The situation is this: with her 20-year-old husband on a business trip, Darcy enters the garage where she discovers that her husband is not who she thought he was; Her discovery leaves him with no other option but to end what was, from the outside, the best marriage.

That’s all we have for you right now, constant reader. But stay tuned for more information on what’s coming out in the near future. And be sure to stay on @DreadCentral on Twitter so you never miss an interesting update.
