“Stop haranguing him!”: Community member Dan Harmon defends Donald Glover as he shares Peacock prestige update

It’s been nearly two years since Peacock greenlit Community: The Movie, founded on the beloved on-screen sitcom NBC/Yahoo!which aired from 2009 to 2015, but the progress of the task was slow. As for why this is the case, many fans were quick to blame Donald Glover, who is currently one of the most interesting talents in the entire entertainment industry; however, according to network author Dan Harmon, that’s a wrong assumption and needs other people to avoid pointing fingers.

Harmon provided the latest update on the progression of Community: The Movie in a recent interview with Variety, and set out to address rumors that the delays were similar to Donald Glover’s schedule and availability. Harmon needs to end this whole discussion and tell the trader:

I saw Donald Glover say that his fans thought he was the explanation for why the movie wouldn’t be released sooner. I immediately tried to go on my Instagram and say, “Stop yelling at Donald!” Do you have to scare this guy? He needs to make the movie, avoid haranguing him! He is not the cause, no human being can be the cause of the delays. The frustrating thing is that our engine moves so slowly and derails and stalls so easily. The calendar is very different for us than for the fans. Fans have 900 times more anxiety per minute than this device that ultimately delivers their movie to them.

It takes a lot of people to make a movie, and a lot of moving parts have to line up in the studio process for a project to move forward. Of course, the availability of one of the stars of the film will have an impact, but in the end it’s just a cog in a bigger machine.

As for what Dan Harmon is doing with the extra progression time, he’s using it to try to make Community: The Movie even better than it currently could be. Harmon co-wrote a script with Andrew Guest (who was in the community for the show’s first two seasons) and is using the lengthy pre-production era to polish things up and produce a definitive version:

I’m going to use the time we have to do one last review of this that I hope will make everyone excited and happy. Meanwhile, can you call it delays when I mean, we had a day of filming? The engine continues to run.

He takes stock: If there has never been an official release date for Community: The Movie, much less a delay, is it fair to say that the order has been “delayed”?

In addition to Donald Glover, Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole-Brown, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong are set to reprise their original roles on Community. While little is known about the film’s plot, Glover hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that a Greendale Community College reunion would be concerned and would watch Abed Nadir (Pudi) make a film that he considers his magnum work (not hard to understand). . He sees how things can get wonderfully meta with this story.

Community: The film currently has no release date, but it will be available to stream with a Peacock subscription whenever it has been made. Stay tuned here at CinemaBlend for the latest updates on the project.
