Tesla’s upscale Supercharger and restaurant in Los Angeles will install a momentary display as technicians begin working on the power lines that have been hampering construction lately. This new addition will offer a dining and drive-in experience inspired by the 1950s.
The line of force preventing the installation of the Tesla Diner’s momentary display was disconnected at one end, as shown in a video shared via the 247Tesla YouTube account on July 16. This suggests that the additional screen structure could begin shortly.
As previously reported, the upcoming dining and Supercharger site is expected to feature around 32 charging stations and multi-level dining seats.
The restaurant concept and location of the Supercharger, recently built at 7001 West Santa Monica Boulevard, is unique. Inspired through a verbal exchange between CEO Elon Musk and his Twitter followers, the venue will feature a 1950s-style dining venue with movie screenings featuring iconic scenes from film history. It will also serve as a Supercharger station with skating servers and a rock and roll soundtrack.
After an era of inactivity, the restaurant’s allocation has been revitalized thanks to permit approvals reported through Teslarati last year. The site also moved from Santa Monica to its current location in West Hollywood, marking a new break in the restaurant’s construction.
The site has been the subject of representations over the years; However, the existing edition is primarily based on a design developed through HowardModelS, a Twitter user at the time. The restaurant was initially called “Milliways” in the depiction, after the restaurant at the edge of the galaxy in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, a work of fiction that is one of Musk’s favorites.
