The town of San Antonio closed the Alamo Plaza on June 1 as a precaution to minimize the option of civil unrest and damage to delicate structures. The domain saw protests following the death of George Floyd, who died while in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25.

Since 16 March, Alamo has been closed in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic. Although state parks reopened as a component of Gov. Gregg Abbott’s “Open Texas” plan, the Alamo has kept its doors closed.
The Alamo wrote in its tweet that it will update its social networks with data about when visitors will be able to access the historical site.
Alamo Plaza is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each and every day, according to the tweet.
