The Allied Esports Odyssey ‘Valorant’ tournament may be in Europe

The Allied Esports Odyssey Valorant tournament began and the first round of matches was amazing. All the cards were nearby, some of them in overtime and some players making amazing plays. What first seemed like a potentially disappointing Ignition series event now turns out to be one of the most productive Valorant tournaments Europe has ever experienced.

Incredibly, only two of the six cards played on the first day featured a team with less than 10 rounds, and either ended in 13-9. The first was between Vodafone Giants and Ninjas in Pyjamas, with NiP winning, but wasting the moment card in the series to draw 1-1. The other was a G2 Esports victory over BBL Esports, and G2 closed the series 2-0, the other card in the series was a 13-10 game in Haven that may have gone in either direction.

The action was intense from day one and much more entertaining than the idea of many other people in the run-up to the tournament. Perhaps the main explanation for why is the tournament format, which is composed of only six groups, all of which can be considered as the most productive in the European region. There are no weaker groups in the competition, which means that each and every game is of the best quality.

“We spend a lot of time creating an exclusive format that creates famend matches in both one and two days and occasional intrigues that are inevitable for enthusiasts, while being incredibly competitive for the groups involved,” says Jud Hannigan, CEO of Allied Esports. “For us, it’s all in the name, Odyssey. Our groups will have to carry the intensity for six days. It will be a holiday where both a team will face each other at least once on the way to the playoffs, which will give the enthusiasts the possibility to see all the matches imaginable. Today it is rare for maximum tournaments. We’ve also climbed a touch from the start that’s exclusive to Odyssey, opting for agents rather than in a game or one, who deserve to climb a layer of strategy for players and have fun with other people who agree to analyze and interact.”

For Allied Esports, this occasion is a chance to make a call on Valorant’s scene as the most productive tour organizer. Most of the other occasions in the Ignition series have been organized through groups or tour organizers who revel in organizing large FPS tours. Allied has a solid history, but in recent years has not harbored too many major occasions, the hope is that the company can become a leading player on the Valorant scene if the odyssey’s occasion remains impressive.

“With Europe’s most productive Valorant groups on board and a unique, competitive and fun on-screen format, our purpose is to raise the bar for the game and create wonderful content that lives beyond the tournament,” Hannigan says. “We are monetizing the occasion and hope it will give Allied Esports more opportunities to collaborate with Riot Games and the Valorant community in development.”

The occasion continues the week, with the grand final taking place on Sunday, August 16. Every day, the attractive fites take position, with a great fit between G2 Esports and the newly signed FunPlus Phoenix list to top today’s action. It is possible that the tournament would have gone unnoticed, but it is now transparent that all Valorant enthusiasts will have to participate in this competition.
