Campbeltown Picture House and Climate Action Kintyre have joined forces to offer a series of climate updates with the aim of provoking verbal feedback and encouraging action.

The cinema will host 4 unique screenings, adding 3 documentaries and one fiction, from its Climate Action Film Festival.

“At every screening you have to pay what you can, so you decide the value of your ticket (between £1 and £5),” said film director Ellen Mainwood. “And don’t forget, if you bring your own mug for your hot drink, get a 50p discount!”

Sharyn Lock, Climate Action Development Coordinator for the South Kintyre Development Trust’s Kintyre Climate Action Campaign, said: “We are very pleased to collaborate with Campbeltown Picture House on the creation of this film festival.

“There is a wonderful diversity of films, with a vital message, that we hope will motivate others to take climate action in their communities. “

These screenings were made imaginable thanks to the help of Film Hub Scotland.
