EXCLUSIVE: Oualid Mouaness has registered for global control with The Cartel. Mouaness made his film debut last year with the 1982 drama over the age of 1982, which premiered at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival, where he won the NETPAC Award and the FIPRESCI International Critics Award at the El-Gouna Film Festival. The film then decided to establish Lebanon as Best International Feature Film at the 2020 Oscars. Since then, it has won critical acclaim and awards at film festivals in France, China, Qatar and the United States.

Mouaness is also known for generating basic music videos with artists David Bowie (The Stars – The Next Day), and a video recording and Emmy-nominated concert for Annie Lennox (Nostalgia), and videos for Lana Del Rey, Katy Perry Array Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, NERD, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Gnarls Barkley, Keith Urban and others.
