The upcoming Fantastic Four reboot is among the most anticipated titles on Marvel’s upcoming movie calendar. Fans eagerly awaited to see the quartet of heroes enter the Cinematic Universe and were hungry for details about what’s to come. Unfortunately, filming has not yet begun, but production is expected to begin very soon. However, before that, it has just been revealed that the film has been given a new official title, but what excites me even more is the fact that the team’s upcoming appearances within the overall franchise have been confirmed.
Until now, it had been shown that the film would simply be called The Fantastic Four. However, at the Marvel Studios film presentation at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, it was revealed that the film is now titled The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The studio made this official through a social media post shared on X, which also confirms that principal photography will begin next week. You can check it out below:

To be honest, I’m a little confused about the call, as I think the original worked pretty well. However, I guess this new call makes sense. After all, this movie will mark the beginning of this edition of the team, so they are taking their “first steps. ” Fans will actually have a lot of ideas about this, but, like me, they will possibly have more ideas about other big news that has been revealed.
The panel was also shown that after his first solo film, Marvel’s First Family will appear in the next two Avengers films: Avengers: Doomsday (which was renamed The Kang Dynasty) and Avengers: Secret Wars. This is smart news and makes sense, considering the stories covered here.
Kevin Feige explained the “approach” of the Fantastic Four movie and the moment he knew that “90% of the picture is done”
From the name of the first of those two Avengers movies, you can probably guess that it will come with the one and only Doctor Doom. And, in a wild turn of events, he will be played by Robert Downey Jr. (Yes, the same Robert Downey Jr. who played Tony Stark/Iron Man for over a decade). So it will be attractive to see. The blue-suited heroes take on this edition of Victor Von Doom. As for Secret Wars, most likely all 4 heroes will be involved. Fans who have read the 2015 version of the comic book story of the same name probably know that, at its core, the story revolves around a life-changing clash between Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and Von Doom. It will be exciting to see how Marvel chooses to adapt this story.
So it goes without saying that fans will be seeing a lot of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the coming years. I’m not mad at this prospect, especially considering the skill involved in the characters and the band’s upcoming superhero videos. will appear in. Matt Shakman is directing the FF reboot, starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss. Bachrach bets on the characters. And Joe and Anthony Russo direct the Avengers videos. So there’s a lot to look forward to, as one of the most beloved superhero groups in comics history prepares to return to the big screen.
Fantastic Four: First Steps will hit theaters on July 25 from the 2025 film schedule. And Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars will hit theaters in May 2026 and May 2027, respectively. In the meantime, sign up for Disney Subscription and stream Marvel videos in order.
