The film show is expected to be delayed by 50 million pounds through December.

Beeston’s new cinema will pass into the hands of its operators before the end of the year, following the delays that stopped the previous structure this year.

The eight-screen cinema, which will be operated through Arc Cinema, is a component of Beeston Square’s largest refurbishment, which will feature an eight-screen cinema, 132 new homes and a variety of food and beverage outlets.

The progress of cinema slowed through the coronavirus pandemic, leading to delays in painting structures and the delivery of fabrics to the site.

Now, according to the project team, the cinema will be able to be installed in December, with the opening date scheduled for June 2021.

Councilman Steve Carr, deputy head of Broxtowe City Council, said: “The allocation is progressing very well. COVID remained for about five weeks, however, the on-site team has been updated a lot in recent weeks.

“The most likely delivery to Arc Cinema is now in December, when the operator will expand it and prepare it for the opening. Beeston is one of the few luxury Arc cinemas in the UK and we are very happy to welcome you to the district.

“Lately there is no singles cinema in Broxtowe, everyone is in town. With our student population, the night economy in Beeston will be much larger than it is, and the city council sees this progression as an opportunity to stimulate business in the city. and regenerate the wider region.

Mike Atkinson, Contract Manager at Bowmer-Kirkland, said: “We are incredibly proud to be part of this prestigious assignment for Broxtowe Borough Council. We are a local circle of family businesses and we are very pleased that Broxtowe has entrusted us with the progression of the city center.

“We have worked hard throughout the board and our partners in the room to make sure progress continues despite the difficult situations of recent times.
