The final trailer for X-MEN ’97 shows off the epic three-part finale. . . and a sneak peek at Fox’s X-MEN movies!

On Wednesday, Marvel Studios will release the first part of “Tolerance Is Extinction,” the three-part finale of X-Men ’97. After the shocking deaths of Gambit and Magneto (though since we learned that the latter survived), the stakes might not be higher for our mutant heroes.

Bastion plans to start a war between humans and mutants, with an army of Prime Sentinels able to give their orders.

Today, Marvel Studios released a definitive trailer for X-Men ’97, paving the way for what’s to come. While it’s usually made up of familiar images from past installments, it also offers some interesting sneak peeks at what’s coming next.

This includes the return of Storm, Jubilee, and Sunspot being chased through humans, Jean showing off his impressive abilities, and the X-Jet being chased through Basion’s human/robot hybrids.

However, we’re sure many of you will enjoy the moment when Cyclops introduces Cable to his own X-Men uniform, but he’s disappointed in his son. That’s when he wonders if Nathan expects “black leather,” an unmistakable cliché of the arguable costumes featured in 20th Century Fox X-Men movies.

After all, we’re sure we won’t forget that Scott Summers asked Wolverine if he expected yellow spandex when he was presented with a generic black uniform.

Showrunner Beau DeMayo also took to Twitter/X to share an updated list of X-Men: The Animated Series episodes that enthusiasts watch ahead of the end of X-Men ’97.   These are “One Man’s Worth,” “Sanctuary,” “Descent,” and “The Final Decision. “

He then added, “I would give you the comic book issues to read, adding my all-time favorite part of all the [X-Men] comics, but that would ruin a lot of surprises. “
