If you had the feeling that a third Kissing Booth film in preparation for Netflix after the sequel ended with several questions, your suspicions were correct: The Kissing Booth 3 is officially underway!

The cast announced the third installment in a super cute video shared on the film’s official Instagram account on Sunday, July 26. In the clip, we see stars Joey King and Joel Courtney walking together as Joel texts his phone. Elle’s style, Joey exclaims, “What are you doing?! You can’t send that! From there, we see several cast members, adding newcomers Taylor Zakhar Perez and Maisie Richardson-Sellers, reacting to the news with masses of excited emojis.

But the most productive component of the video, and one worthy of all LOL, is when Jacob Elordi appears at the end. Diving into the pool in front of Joey and Joel, the actor smiles and asks, “What did I miss?” The short teaser ends with the words The Kissing Booth 3, adding that the film is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2021.

The big news was also celebrated through the actors on a live YouTube on Sunday afternoon, where they shared that the third film was shot at the same time as the sequel, meaning they had done a very clever task to keep this secret. The live stream also featured a short clip of The Kissing Booth 3 as a small preview of what was about to happen. At the scene, we see her hanging from the pool with Noah, Lee and Rachel when she receives a phone call from the Harvard Admissions Office. She nevertheless rejects the call, seeming momentarily stressed, then disappears into space with Noah so that she can “read new poetry and tell me all about her feelings.” Suuuuuure, Elle.

Many enthusiasts guessed that a third film was on the horizon after The Kissing Booth 2 ended up in a pretty big cliffhanger, with spoiler alert! – Gained educational acceptances from Harvard and Berkeley. There’s also the little question of Marco’s serious emotions for her, and the big question of whether she and Chloe will become friends or not. Fortunately, it turns out that everything will be talked about again in the next film, even if we have to wait until next year to see it. In the meantime, we’ll go over the first two films and watch the summer to improve Elle and Marco’s dance moves.

While the cast is naturally excited by the third installment, they are also grateful to the enthusiasts and audience, which Joey made transparent on Sunday’s live broadcast. “I need to thank the enthusiasts for their super aidArray … the explosion of love was so real,” he said. “It’s all over here that all this happened.”
