The CW is going to bring one more element to its range… Chemical X! A live adaptation of The Super Powerful Girls is now in progression on the net, reports our sister online page Deadline, with Diablo Cody and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti as executive producers.
According to the project’s official synopsis, “The Super-Powered Girls were American superheroes one-pint long. Now they are disappointed in their twenties, who do need to have lost their training years in the opposite combat of crime. Do they come in combination now that the world wants it more than ever? »

For the tragically uninitiated, The Super-Powerful Girls, a popular animated series about 3 preschoolers, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, who used their clinical powers to protect the city of Townsville from an eclectic group of supervillains. (Does the so-called Mojo Jojo ring a bell?) Created through Craig McCracken, it was originally broadcast on Cartoon Network from 1998 to 2005. The iconic cartoon restarted in 2016, with new episodes broadcast until 2019. The franchise also went to theaters in 2002.
Cody and Heather Regnier (Veronica Mars) will write the Warner Bros project. Television. They will also be producers, along with Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden.
