The Japanese gaming giant also plans to release a series of new games next year to compete with the new PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Sony PlayStation five are displayed before Christmas 2020.
Nintendo has not unveiled a new flagship console since the Switch in 2017, but has a major update in progress, according to Bloomberg.
Like the PS5 and X Series, the new switch will have 4K games, unidentified people told the technical site.
This means more pixels than a popular transfer can handle, or even any existing generation console, providing very good resolution graphics.
Bloomberg also reports that a “multitude of Nintendo games and similar studios” will arrive next year.
If you are developing an enhanced Switch console, it is safe to assume that some of those new games will have a 4K resolution.
The report provides an accurate release date for the intended console, nor does it imply how much the high-power device will cost.
He contacted Nintendo for comments.
It wouldn’t be the first time Nintendo has released an update to its console on the most sensible list.
Last year, an updated edition of the Switch with longer battery life was introduced worldwide.
Nintendo also released Switch Lite in 2019, a less expensive and portable edition of the console that left the TV base.
The company has shipped more than 60 million Switch consoles worldwide, but will look to update them after the X and PS5 series.
Sony announced the PS5 last year and has set a provisional “Vacation 2020” date for the console.
Loading a game on PlayStation 5 will be ten times faster than on PS4, according to the Titan of the Generation.
The X Series will learn at approximately the same time and run games on a 4K solution, twice as much as in HD, with the ability to run 8K.
It will process the games faster to “remove” the upload times. A new Halo track will be introduced with the console.
Estimates put the console value at about 500 euros.
