After months of teasers, rumors and spy shots, yet it’s official: soon you’ll be able to get a Hellcat-powered van in the shape of the 2021 Ram TRX. Switch to the same supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 discovered in the Challenger, Charger and Durango Hellcats, as well as the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, the Ram TRX is smart for 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. He’ll be successful in 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, one hundred mph in 10.5 and will travel the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph.
While the “Hellcat-powered truck” is probably already of enough importance on its own, the Ram TRX is also proving to be a historic vehicle for the history of the van as a whole: it’s the first and only supercharged truck in the factory since the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning disappeared in 2004.
