Wheel of Fortune is preparing to enter a new era following the retirement of Pat Sajak, and that may be easier said than done. Fans had reservations when Ryan Seacrest was announced as his replacement and they didn’t hold back when his first promos were released. After it was reported that there could be trouble on set between Vanna White and Seacrest, rumor has it that Kim Kardashian will also be weighing in. The concept is, to say the least, intriguing.
It was previously noted that things wouldn’t be the most productive between White and Seacrest, and White’s long-term on-screen tenure is rarely as transparent as it appeared to be when he negotiated a new salary last year. Sources told Life
I have no idea that White’s replacement would come from the fan base, but honestly, it’s not the worst concept that could happen. Kardashian has reportedly been friends with Seacrest for a long time and I’m guessing she wouldn’t mind dressing up in all the cute outfits that come with the concert. It would also be fun to see a less serious side of her and joke around with Seacrest and the contestants while she spins the letters on the board.
That said, it’s a lot of work. This would probably have to be a precedent for Kim K’s other ventures, which would be tricky considering his popular SKIMS lines and the other ventures he participates in each year. However, he’s starting to do more TV projects, such as starring in American Horror Story: Delicate and Ryan Murphy’s new series, All’s Fair. Be able to add some other screen to your developing resume. This would be a big commitment for her and it’s hard to say if she would. It’s appealing to know that it’s potentially being considered.
Given that Wheel of Fortune has not even presented its new season to the 2024 TV schedule yet, it would possibly be a little too early to think about the long run of the series. Given that Pat Sajak and Vanna White have worked in combination for so long and so close over the years, it might take time for Seacrest and White to gel, and, of course, this Kim Kardashian tale is just a rumor.
We don’t even know if White is preparing to retire, much less who will update her; and even her own daughter Maggie has been a guest host and may be a genuine option in the future.
Either way, considering all the gossip, it will be interesting to see how this new era of Wheel will play out when Seacrest officially joins the family.
