This year, the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games made history by taking place on one of the world’s most famous waterways, the Seine. Organizers plan to turn the iconic river into the world’s largest theater level for what promises to be one of the most impressive opening ceremonies in Olympic history. Instead of entering a stadium, a six-kilometer-long flotilla of about 100 boats will transport athletes from more than 200 countries in front of thousands of spectators sitting on the banks of the river. According to the recent Fandango 2024 Moviegoing Trends and Insights study of more than 6,000 moviegoers, premium formats, such as IMAX, are still excellent motivations for finding entertainment on the big screen.
