Actress and blockbuster Sarah Cooper, known for her online video prints of President Donald Trump’s lip sync, has created her first special comedy on Netflix. Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine is expected to have its world premiere at the streaming giant this fall.
The special variety will come with vignettes “dealing with issues of politics, race, gender, elegance and other friendly themes,” according to Netflix. Cooper will be accompanied by special visitors who will participate in brief interviews, sketches and more.
The special will be directed through Natasha Lyonne and produced through Maya Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew Behrens and Lyonne her Animal Pictures, with Cooper and Paula Pell. Chris Burns of AGI Entertainment and Dan Powell of Irony Point will also be executive producers.
Amid the blockade of the coronavirus in April, Cooper went viral with his satirical impressions of Trump’s lip synchronisation. His videos “How to …”, which he launches on TikTok and other social platforms, have been viewed tens of millions of times. His video print of Trump’s “How to Medical,” which suggests that other people inject bleach to prevent coronavirus, has been viewed more than 20 million times and isn’t over. He has been retwagited and praised through Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Stiller, Halle Berry, Chrissy Teigen, Cher, Jane Lynch, Jerry Seinfeld, Seth Meyers and Bette Midler, among others.
Prior to his online success, he was a correspondent for CBS All Access Old News, produced through Stephen Colbert. He has also written best-selling eBooks, adding a hundred tips to look wise in meetings and how to succeed without harming men’s feelings. He also participated in Science !, the animated series created through Archer’s Neal Holman and broadcast on syfy’s animated block. He then set out to write a comic and fashionable edition of an e-book through Dale Carnegie for Audible Originals.
