A forged video editing app for beginners, with enough features to grow with you once you feel dominated by the basics.
Based on its existing acquisition value of just under $70 ($60), Magix Movie Edit Pro for Windows is just a video editing solution for the back of the market. The software will be in two additional versions, Plus ($100 / 90 ) and Premium ($130 / 110), which offer more complex functions.
We discovered that Movie Edit Pro Premium was remarkably complete, with a sublime interface that can evolve with you as your editing skills, but that’s not without frustrations.
Adding clips is the best example: at most, other systems in the competition have the option to organize their clips before they do in a project. This allows you to import photos into your project, organize them into bins (also known as folders), tag them, or do whatever you want to have all the convenient clips when you create them.a project. Movie Edit Pro Premium doesn’t look like that. However, if you decide on a clip, it will be added without delay to your timeline.Choose multiple clips and they will all be added in chronological order.
Worse, any clip is presented as a list without a thumbnail. You can preview clips one at a time before loading them (from a camcorder or from a player), however, this interface is far from transparent and slows you down if you’re looking for an express moment.
Once the clips are in your project, they appear as giant square bullets by default. This is the fundamental interface of Movie Edit Pro Premium, designed to make editing undeniable and enjoyable. On the most sensitive right side of the Timeline segment are other features represented through A Series of Icons. The third from the left gives you a more classic view, with clips rendered through rectangles whose duration depends on their duration. This complexity migration is welcome, especially if you are familiar with the editing procedure at first.
When it comes to editing, if you’re used to creating videos in other apps, you’ll feel right here: everything is working as planned. It’s easy to cut clips and move them, you can navigate the keyboard, and even here you’ll implement the classic JKL keys that are used to rewind, pause, and advance in the timeline. You also have a number of computers at your disposal through a row of icons in the most sensitive part to the left of the Timeline section.
The only thing that is frustrating for an experienced editor, and that can confuse you if you need to migrate to another package, is the fact that the tracks are placed in opposite order. In more professional applications, the tracks of the paintings as layers and everything that is on top of a mask hides what is underneath, not here: if you need to place one clip on top of another, you have to place it underneath, it is another way of thinking that is contradictory if you are used to more classic running.approach or simply accustomed to the way things are expressed in the genuine world.
The correct interface component is known as the media group. This is where your footage matters as described above, but also where all the effects, transitions and titles of the application reside. You can preview all of them seamlessly before adding them to your project, which is a definite advantage and can save you a lot of time.
There is a smart variety of titles, the maximum of which are fully editable (3D effects are not, except for the imputation of a new text). You can also move them to the screen to place them in a location that best fits your project. There are not many transitions, but the ones provided are very nice and some even original.
You can apply express looks to your clips or your entire project, which is a quick and easy way to rate your footage.Of course, it also has normal color correction equipment and other effects such as blur, distortion, speed, chrominance and many others.
If you prefer your video editing software to make the most of the paintings for you, choose a movie model. Do this and interface settings with the timeline that is classified with express reserved spaces. You deserve to update them with your own clips and if you can imagine it fits the type of plan requested (general plan, medium plan, etc.).
You also have a handful of symbol objects.Think of them as clip art symbols, some of which are animated, which you can upload to your clips. There are also songs without copyright in the Audio section.
If you like those models and objects, or are looking for more transitions, effects and audio tracks, be pleased to know that you can buy one more through the app’s built-in store.
Since reviewing this software, some notable additions have been introduced.
A wonderful one is the 8K Ultra HD video. Now we didn’t have any 8K video to verify this, so we’ll have to communicate about Magix, but it’s smart that they brought it so early.
There are some new models where videos are recorded on your phone in portrait orientation (rather than horizontal), but the most attractive new features are only available to Plus and Premium customers.
These come with advanced color correction, multi-camera editing and layer masks. These are complex teams that can help more experienced users get the most out of their investment.
And speaking of investment, Premium homeowners also have NewBlue Filters five Ultimate at no loading cost, a set of effects to load a touch of professionalism into their final product.
Once you are in a percentage condition of your movie, the export function will allow you to save a copy to your hard drive, create a compatible edition for a cellular device or upload it to the web.The application, and the one that is very obviously visible, is Vimeo, but you can also download it on YouTube (via Download yetton on the Internet) if you prefer. If it’s still on DVD, Movie Edit Pro Premium, can we burn your movie to disc and even create fundamental navigation menus.
Movie Edit Pro Premium has some flaws and drawbacks, but covers much more than the basics and even includes automated features that can be a boon for novice users.
All in all, it’s an app that can evolve with you as you do your best in your craft, and it’s a wonderful step forward from all the loose alternatives, for a moderate price.
