A Spokesman for Shaw Theatres said the road to Ward 6 was evicted at 4:45 p.m.
Film crews treated injured consumers until paramedics arrived, he said.
Singapore’s civil defence forces said two other injuries were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, although no details of his injuries are available.
No injuries were reported.
The theater, located on Nex’s fourth floor, will be closed until further notice, said a Shaw Theaters spokesman, adding that the company is working with owner Gold Ridge and the government to investigate the incident.
The Straits Times understands that all movie theaters have been evacuated and have asked consumers for their names and touch data to refund tickets.
A photo on Mustsharenews showed that the detached fan landed on several rows of seats on the right side of the movie theater.
In one photo, one visitor noticed mendacity on the floor while another showed a user strapped to a stretcher.
A spokesman for the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) had sent an engineer to investigate the fall of the air conditioning and mechanical ventilation duct at 6:30 p.m.
BCA told the building owner to appoint a professional engineer to conduct a detailed investigation of the incident, assess the condition of the other pipes in the theater, and present corrective actions.
A filmmaker, who sought to be known only as Ms. Vivian, watching the film Tenet with his circle of relatives in some other cinema when the incident occurred.
“The lights went on suddenly for a few minutes, but the film was still playing, so we thought it’s nothing serious.But when the movie suddenly shut down, some other people got a little angry and things got a little chaotic..
“Finally, they told us to evacuate,” the 24-year-old banking analyst said.
