(RTTNews) – Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, a unit of Comcast Corp. (CMCSA), and AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (AMC) have entered into an agreement whereby UFEG films will be shown in AMC theaters in the United States. AMC is the largest film showing company in the United States.
The agreement includes at least 3 weekends (17 days) of theatrical exclusivity for all universal Pictures and Focus Features theatrical premieres, at which point the studio will be able to make its titles available on premium video-on-demand platforms, adding through AMC cinemas. Demand.
