Attention horror fans, we’re walking through the terrifying but exhilarating revival of the genre at the moment. Supernatural ghost stories, fake blood, gore and jump scares are welcome all year round and, thankfully, there are a bunch of chilling horror movies planned to come our way within the next few years. Whether it’s the return of popular franchises like A Quiet Place and Alien or original scares from new filmmakers, there are a ton of upcoming horror movies to get ready for.

We have a solid line up of horror titles confirmed to be available to enter our eyeballs from 2024 onwards, with more to come that have yet to land a specific release date on the calendar, as well. While we wait to see if any of these titles find a spot on our list of the best horror movies of all time, check the upcoming scary movies out, here:

After another American holiday was turned into a slasher in late 2023 with Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving, early 2024 is offering up Founders Day. Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda Williams has found her feature film debut with horror rom-com, Lisa Frankenstein. The movie was written by Diablo Cody, who previously penned Juno and Jennifer’s Body, and it stars Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse and Carla Gugino. Lisa Frankenstein follows a teen girl (Newton) living in 1989 who decides to reanimate a handsome corpse from the Victorian Era (Sprouse) and make him into the man of her dreams. This sounds like a fun twist on the classic Frankenstein story! 

Lionsgate and Blumhouse have teamed up to bring a film titled Imaginary to audiences in early 2024. Truth or Dare, Fantasy Island, and The Curse of Bridge Hollow director Jeff Wadlow directs the film about a woman who returns home from her formative years. to notice your imagination. After A Quiet Place Part II has become a hit in theaters, amidst pandemic challenges. , the next Quiet Place movie is on the way in 2024. However, this Terrifier movie will be a Christmas horror movie, with one teaser already having the clown in Santa’s costume. Terrifier 3’s director has already teased that the first five minutes of the movie is going to be “very controversial,” so bring the barf bags just in case!?! 

After the luck of The Invisible Man in 2020, director Leigh Whannell has made an effort to work to revive some other classic Universal Monsters character and this year, it will finally come to fruition. While The Werewolf was originally slated to be directed through Ryan Gosling when it was announced years ago, the lead role has since been filled by Christopher Abbott, but he would supposedly not play the werewolf, but rather a “man whose family is being played” terrified of a fatal predator.
