Warner Cinemas in LWT Weather Agreement

Granada Enterprises has signed with Warner Global Village Cinemas as a 2001 sponsor of LWT Weather.

The £1 million deal will begin on March 2 and will be the first look at Warner Cinemas’ TV commercial. The company used to be featured in the press.

Paul Chard, MediaCom’s head of sponsorship, negotiated the deal on behalf of Warner Cinemas with Mark Rosenegk, head of sponsorship and licensing at Granada Enterprises.

Granada Media’s company, The Lab, will create the credits.

The lab took advantage of recently relaxed television sponsorship regulations by showing the inside of a Warner theater and adding the customer’s Internet address in the end credits.

Martin Lowde, head of sponsorship at Granada Enterprises Commercial Ventures, said: “Warner Cinemas needed a vehicle with maximum exposure and maximum frequency on the weekend, so that Londoners could get to know the locations of Warner cinemas. “
