Chadwick Boseman, who died at the age of 43 after a four-year personal war against cancer, leaves an exceptional gallery of heritage works.

Fans were surprised to learn that Boseman had finished 10 films from the time he was diagnosed with level 3 colon cancer in 2016 until his untimely death. The films were over while the actor quietly took breaks for surgeries, chemotherapy and card exchanges with young people with terminal illnesses who also had cancer.

Boseman has portrayed several ancient figures in his career, but it was his role as the Marvel Black Panther that replaced his life forever. After making his MCU deyet in Captain America: Civil War, Boseman led the independent Black Panther 2018. The Marvel hit followed the character of T’Challa (Boseman), son of King T’Chaka (John Kani) of Wakanda, and his complicated ascension to the throne following the death of his father.
