This weekend the latest installment of the Alien film series hits theaters. Alien: Romulus takes place between the events of the original Alien and Aliens, following a group of young space colonists aboard a deserted space station who come face to face with the xenomorph. You’ll be able to see the new movie in theaters on August 16, 2024, but if you catch up on the story ahead of time, all of the Alien movies are now streaming on Hulu.
The franchise remained dormant for a few years, then in the 2000s, 20th Century Fox released two Alien vs. Alien crossover films. Predator that canon. You shouldn’t feel the need to watch those two (they’re pretty awful), but they’re also streaming on Hulu:
It’s also worth noting that a TV series called Alien: Earth is in the works for FX on Hulu, written and directed by Noah Hawley (Fargo). It is expected to be released in early 2025 and will take place 30 years before the release of Alien.
