Are you thinking of giving up the rat race for a quiet cabin across the sea, or promoting your apartment for a country getaway on the sticks?
A new BBC TV show, The Simple Life, is looking for candidates who are seriously considering swapping their hectic and frantic urban life for an easier way of life in the countryside or on the coast.
From the same manufacturers who brought audience Wanted Down Under, Wanted: The Simple Life will see a “diverse mix” of couples, families and others lucky enough to notice a portion of what their new life might look like on the coast or outside the gates of the countryside.
At the end of the experiment, applicants will know if they really need to give it all up for quiet life or whether living on the sticks is more confusing than they originally thought.
“More and more people are giving up the city’s tension for a new life in the countryside or on the coast,” says executive manufacturer Paul Connolly.
“But what they don’t take into account are the possible demanding situations that this poses, such as what pictures can I make about it? Am I in a position to give up the comfort of urban life? Is my other side so anxious to move? How will young people locate such a great change?
“This series will give them the opportunity to explore the pros and cons of moving out before making a life-changing decision.”
The call for applicants indicates that participants will get “help and advice” in their resolve to relocate, either to start “an entirely new career, start a new business or simply escape reality.” -Take on overcrowded rats and live as a farmer, fisherman or gourmet. “
Primary applicants (parents) must be 18 years of age or older to participate, and filming will take place for 4 to five days from September 2020 to November 2020, which means you’ll want to take a week off.
Producers warn that the exhibition will not be similar to a “free holiday,” saying filming can be “an intense delight in involving long, grueling days.”
As such, the screen says they are for applicants who are “flexible, committed and open to the demands of the process”.
To apply, you will want to complete a form of application that can be downloaded from the BBC website. Producers say they want applicants to be “living and enthusiastic people, able to be themselves in front of the camera and able to represent a percentage of their lives with us, during what can be delicate and significant moments.”
They inspire applicants to verify their unique personality on the form, telling them who you are, why you need to move to the counter, and what are the main issues that have selected you.
