Zack Snyder on Joss Whedon’s Justice League footage: “I’d destroy the movie, set it on fire”

Zack Snyder has strong words for those who think he will use one of Joss Whedon’s photographs in the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League. “It would destroy the film,” he said in the Justice-Con panel organized through fans. “I’d put the chimney in front of a bachelor frame I didn’t photograph.”

It is transparent that this edition of Justice League will be a Snyder film, and every effort will be made to keep it that way. “I’d literally blow that damn thing up, ” he continued.

The director has earned a reputation for his long run time: director Batman v Superman and Watchmen’s cuts last more than 3 hours, and revealed that the Justice League would be the biggest to date, approximately 4 hours.

During the same panel, Snyder also posted photographs of Henry Cavill’s Superman in a black suit, and the director revealed that, in the first place, the studio did not need the character to be in dark colors. “[The study] was just not in it. He knew it was the right progression for him after he was resurrected from the dead. But the black suit belief was simply: ‘You’re looking to make the movie dark and it’s not funny,'” he said. After a huge wave of fan support, the Snyder Cut will arrive at HBO Max in 2021, all remaining under a cloak of secrecy. Snyder also showed that we will be informed more, adding a runtime, at the upcoming DC FanDome event. The August show will feature looks at the Snyder Cut, as well as the presence of Wonder Woman 1984 and even The Batman.
