This year, the Zurich Film Festival will award French actress Juliette Binoche her Golden Icon Award. She will be present at the festival to present her last film, The Good Wife, and will win the prize in a rite on September 30. “In this year, when France is our guest country, it is a wonderful thrill to honor a true icon. “Cinema,” said Christian Jungen, Zurich’s artistic director, “Binoche is an incredibly flexible actress who chooses her roles with wonderful care and plays her characters so deeply, both in dramas and comedies. Binoche added: “I am very moved to be revered with the Golden Icon Award, but it is above all the films and the administrators who have made them that will be revered through me.”

Channel four commissioned Screw, a six-episode crime drama at STV Studios, from BAFTA-nominated editor Rob Williams (The Victim, Killing Eve). The screen is a glimpse into the terrifying and dark truth of life as a criminal officer in a male criminal in the 21st century in Britain. The task is carried out through Caroline Hollick, head of fiction at Channel Four and overseen by Lee Mason, channel four start-up editor, and Gemma Boswell, Channel Four Progression Manager. Karla Crome is part of the editorial team. Sarah Brown is executive manufacturer of STV Studios and Brian Kaczynski is a manufacturer. Banijay Rights will manage global distribution.

Filming is underway in the Scottish city of Glasgow at Bell Bottom, an 1980s Bollywood mystery starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kappor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. Production has closed many roads in the city centre. Filming will end on September 5. Filming has an on-site doctor to monitor imaginable virus outbreaks and actors and equipment wear wristwatches that monitor their oxygen grades and frame temperature.
